about ermha services
Ermha provides a range of support services for people with a mental illness. These include day programs, outreach, residential and specialist support. Our goal is to meet our clients’ needs by providing personal support as well as support in areas such as housing, job training and life skills.
We manage 15 individual programs (including MadCap Cafe, our job training enterprise), most of which serve residents of Melbourne’s outer southeast corridor. Our qualified and experienced staff take respect for each individual as their starting point. The very practical reason for this is that the bond of trust between worker and client is key to an effective, recovery-focussed relationship.
Although service users are usually associated with a single program the resources of other Ermha programs are open to them. For example an Ermha Outreach client might also attend day program sessions or become a part of the MadCap job training program.
Another large part of our work is to ensure that our clients make the best possible use of other services that can provide assistance. These might include drug and alcohol, medical, legal or housing services.
