What is the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local?
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local is a service that helps Victorians get mental health and wellbeing support when they need it, where they need it.
Local services are the front door to your mental health and wellbeing support, providing free treatment, care and support for people who are experiencing mental health concerns. You don’t need to have a referral, Medicare card or mental health plan.
Who is the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local for?
Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals are for anyone aged 26 years and over experiencing mental health or wellbeing concerns. This includes anyone who is experiencing mental health and substance use concerns at the same time.
If you are a family member, carer, friend or supporter of someone with mental health concerns, you can also access support to help you in your caring role, or for your own mental health needs.

Or walk in to the Central Geelong Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub at 181 Moorabool Street, Geelong.
Support is delivered in a variety of ways, including in-person, telehealth, and outreach, depending on what you feel comfortable with.
